Industrieel landschap
Er zijn foto’s die onmiddellijk in de smaak vallen bij iedereen. Zonsondergangen, herfstbossen, babies, puppies of een sfeervol belicht landschap zijn hier voorbeelden van. Een foto als hierboven is moeilijker te waarderen. Vaak geven mensen aan dat het onderwerp ze niet aanstaat en daarmee dan ook voorbij gaan aan de foto, of wat deze wil uitdrukken. Deze foto die draait om tegenlicht een contrast in de wolken en een niet alledaags onderwerp kon alleen maar acceptatie vinden bij fotografen, die variatie in hun werk nastreven. Het heeft mij enigszins verbaasd, omdat ik het zelf een uitdrukkingsvolle foto vind. Het belangrijkste bij fotograferen is echter dat je je instinct volgt en streeft naar je eigen tevredenheid. Als andere mensen dat werk ook mooi vinden is dat natuurlijk fijn, maar niet als eerste belangrijk.

Some pictures are immediately popular with everyone. Sunsets, autumn woods, babies, puppies or atmospheric illuminated landscapes are examples. A photograph as above is more difficult to appreciate. Often people give to understand that they don’t like the subject thus ignore the photo at all, or what it wants to express. This photo is about the backlit and contrast in the clouds and a not so everyday scene to capture. So far this could only find acceptance among photographers, who seek variety in their work. It has somewhat surprised me, because I myself find it an expressive picture. Most importantly, when shooting one has to try to follow ones instinct and strive for ones own satisfaction. If other people like the work too is of course nice, but not the initial target.
